PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT POLICY



It is the commitment of the company to ensure the Health and Safety at work of all our people and any other persons who may be exposed by our work activities.

By complying with the requirements of Occupational Safety and Health Standards, we could lead the industry by promoting best practice and exceeding the guidance of the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory bodies.

One of this practice and the simplest way if not prevent, it has the capability to minimize injuries is the proper use of suitable Personal Protective Equipment.

To carry out this practice, we promote the following:

-                     The company will provide to all employees with Personal Protective Equipment that is suitable for their working assignments.
-                     Information will be disseminated to all employees the advantages and disadvantages of PPE usage.
-                     Proper usage and maintenance of PPE will be monitored accordingly.
-                     Safety Officer or Supervisor would be responsible for strict implementation of the policy.


Through the way we work and behave, all our people will be protected from risks of occupational injuries.


WORKERS RECRUITMENT POLICY



It is the mission of the company to provide the best and the brightest human resources in the industry and maintains a reasonable level of employment.

To carry out this mission, applicants must be qualified enough with the following requirements:

-                     At least 20 years of age and a maximum of 40 years old.
-                     Must be physically fit to work as declared by the company physician
-                     Must provide Police and NBI Clearance
-                     Must be a TESDA certified with 2 years experience for skilled workers
-                     Must be a college graduate from a reputable school for personnel’s key and office staff

The company will conduct a written examination and interview from the Human Resource representative and will undergo a final interview from OO and MO.




NO SMOKING POLICY



No Smoking Policy is implemented at the workplace and wherever any project will take place.

Smoking contributes greatly to respiratory and cardiac diseases. It is the company responsibility to ensure that our employees’ starts the day working in good condition and at the end of the day; they will go home to their family free from any illness caused by direct smoking or from inhalation of smoke from smokers.

The company is committed to provide education and information on the unlikely effects caused by smoking.







ALCOHOL AND DRUGS POLICY



YSV Engineering and Construction Services is committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. An important part of our effort is to ensure that the workplace is free from the use of illegal drugs, the misuse of legal drugs, and the abuse of alcohol.

Our people are expected to be fit for duty and capable of performing their assigned responsibilities in a safe and productive manner. Employees should report to work in condition to perform their duties, free from the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.

The use of illegal drugs in the workplace will not be tolerated. Anyone who is under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol while conducting business with VYS could create an unsafe work environment and may therefore subject to discipline.

Where permitted by law, to assure compliance, the company reserves the right to test for the use of alcohol or other controlled substances, and may conduct searches in the workplace if there is reason to suspect violation of policy.

EMPLOYEES RESPONSIBILITY

1.                While at work or on Company business, you should be alert, never impaired, and always ready to carry out your work duties.




2.                Possession of legally prescribed drugs is not prohibited but you are responsible to ensure that while in the workplace the use of


prescribed drugs will not affect your productivity or the safety of the workplace.
3.                Follow local laws and customs when they are more restrictive than Company policy.
4.                Don’t bring alcohol into the workplace by any means or for any purpose not authorized by the Company
5.                If you have problem with substance abuse, seek professional help before it adversely affects you personally or professionally.
6.                If anyone of your colleague who works near you seems to be under the influence of alcohol, the best thing you can do for everyone, including your co-worker is to report your concern to your supervisor.




HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITMENT AND POLICY



It is our intent to demonstrate an ongoing and determined commitment to improving Health, Safety and Environment consciousness at work all throughout. We will ensure the Health and Safety at work of all our people and any other persons who may be affected by our work activities. We will comply with the requirements of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.


We shall promote the following:

1.                Adequate resources will be provided to ensure all our people are aware of this policy and committed to its effective implementation.
2.                There will be active open communication and consultation between all our people. HSE will be integrated into our communications, wherever appropriate.
3.                Roles and responsibilities for HSE will be defined, as necessary, within the job description or profiles. The management will ensure that HSE is adequately assessed, controlled and monitored. We will ensure that our people are actively involved on matters that affect HSE.
4.                We will assess the risks associated with HSE hazards in the workplace. All our people will be informed of the HSE hazards and risks that affect their work. We will take action to prevent, reduce or control risks to an acceptable level and reduce the potential for incidents and accidents.




5.                We will identify desired and undesired behaviors for all our people. We will engage with our workforce on HSE and act on issues raised.
6.                 We will report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to drive improvement in our HSE management. Any lessons learned from such events will be used to take corrective action to prevent recurrences.
7.                We will constantly encourage, develop, review and share Health, Safety and Environment Good Practices both internally and externally.


Our policy will be delivered by generating a culture that does not threaten Health, Safety and Environment and ensuring the real engagement of all our people.

          The management believes that quality is the best tool in achieving and maintaining high performance standards. Procedures were created to instill at the minds and hearts of every employee’s the quality control in each project.


          The company will conduct regular audits to examine the existence of company procedures and somehow enhance service quality.
